TÜV Rheinland Issues ‘Product Carbon Reduction’ Certification to Samsung Electronics

TÜV Rheinland, an international independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization has issued the “Product Carbon Reduction” certification to Samsung Electronics across its ranges of eight product series* for its 2024 Neo QLED 4K and 8K, OLED, and The Frame lineups. This certification is awarded to products that have demonstrated a reduction in carbon footprint compared to the previous year’s model, and serves as a testament to the company’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions year-over-year.

TÜV Rheinland strictly audit and evaluates greenhouse gas emissions for two generation of eight series TV products throughout their life cycle - “Gradle to Grave” ranging from manufacturing and transportation to use and disposal, granting certifications based on internationally recognized ISO 14067, ISO 14064-3 and TÜV Rheinland standard 2 PfG Q2880/09.23. It is verified and certified, all of eight series TV products meet the carbon reduction standard requirement set by TÜV Rheinland.
